DEITY - GOD AN EXPLANATION

Soul is an energy packet in space.  It is a combination of positive and negative energies or charges.  It has to get rid of all the negative charges contained in it in order to attain perfect purity.  A state of perfect purity is a state of infinite power.   It has no birth or death.  It is everlasting and subject to continuous change and transformation.    Being an energy, it has no appetite, no sexual urge, no brain and thoughts, no senses, no sensitivity, no happiness, no misery, no likes, no dislikes, etc.  These are the qualities of living human beings with a body consisting of bone, blood and muscles.  Human body is an embodiment of five basic elements , major portion of which is of earthly nature.  Being a material object, human body requires frequent maintenance/replacements of basic elements, lost as a result of its activities.  Hence it requires continuous consumption of food, sex, breadth, heat, etc. for survival.   Soul is an entity which is entirely different from the human body.

The soul constitutes a human body and enters it.   It has an intention and a purpose in doing so.  The aim is to remove the negative energies in order to attain its spiritual purity.     The soul achieves this target  through  many cycles of birth, life and death as a human being till the achievement of total purity and liberation.

The soul  passes over many births in many generations in this world.   When it gets rid of human body each time it is supposed to have acquired more and more energy and have achieved more and more spiritual purity.   When the level of spiritual purity of a soul wane during a lifetime, its spiritual level further declines and its energy drops down.  When the soul attains enhancement of spiritual purity in a life, it rises to higher levels to that extend of its increase.  When it goes out of body with this achievement,  it looses weight further and its position and location above the earth becomes further away from the surface of earth.

When the soul achieves more and more spiritual purity in consecutive lives, it looses weight again and again gradually till it becomes totally weightless.   Now, being weightless it finally get released from the gravitational force of earth.   Such a soul becomes totally independent, rises and goes upwards and reaches  the vast space beyond earth's gravitational limits.   Now it is said to have achieved emancipation and released from the cycle of birth and death.

Perfect pure energy is considered  the state of God.   So the soul also reaches a Godly state but with limitations.   Such souls are known as devas  and erected as deities in temples.   Here we have to be aware that deities are physical and symbolical representation of pure energies and we should not attribute human and earthly qualities and nature such as likes and dislikes, happiness and misery, anger and hatred, sexual instinct and urges, partiality in behavior, brahmacharyam or celibacy in the sense of body discipline etc. to them.

Though deities are powerful energies,  they are not in any way comparable to that of all pervasive, omnipresent,  widespread and universal energy and power of God.

The space beyond the pull of earth's gravity and where the deities are present is considered a world of peace and eternity. the abode of devas.

The soul is identified during its last birth on earth as the one to become the deity from the style of its spirituality, behavior and its way of life.

The effigy of such souls are erected in a common place called temple.  It is considered as a roll model for others in this world to follow in their life.  The temples are considered places for prayer and meditation for raising the purity of the soul.   The style or way of life the deity lived and the achievements are made known to those who visit the temple for prayers.    It is the common belief that frequent visits to such temple for meditation will influence the life of common people towards purification of the soul.
